Ankita Ambasht, MD

Dr. Ambasht recently relocated to Anchorage after completing her residency in Family Medicine from MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She earned her undergraduate degree from Boston University and her medical degree from the Medical University of the Americas in Saint Kitts and Nevis. She is board certified in Family Medicine.

She has an interest in caring for chronic diseases including diabetes, coronary disease, asthma, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and arthritis. Dr. Ambasht looks forward to offering various outpatient services such as joint injections, IUD and Nexplanon placement/removal, and other minor procedures. As a mother of two young daughters, she is passionate about addressing healthcare challenges that women face.

With each subsequent annual visit to family in Alaska since 2011, she has fallen more in love with Alaska. Dr. Ambasht enjoys taking road trips with her family as she explores Alaska. Her hobbies include reading, dancing, football, and Formula One racing.

A believer in “meeting patients where they are,” Dr. Ambasht looks forward to treating her patients with a collaborative approach. She is excited to become a part of this wonderful community!
